Besan Chilla Recipe

It is a very tasty snake which you can try at home. It hardly takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes to cook. So the recipe which today I was going to share is "Besan Chilla".

Ingredients:

Gram flour or Besan- 1cup or 80g
Rava or suji- 2 serving spoon or 30g
Ajwain- 1/2 spoon
Turmeric powder- 1/2 spoon
Asafoetida or hing- 1 pinch
Onion- 1piece
Tomato- 1 piece
Coriander leave- as required
Green chilli- 1-2 pieces
Chaat masala- 1/2 spoon
Salt- 1/2 spoon 

Making Process:

1. First we need to make the batter of Besan. In a big bowl, we take 1 cup besan, then we add sooji, ajwain,turmeric powder, Hong and salt.Mixed all the ingredients in the bowl nicely.

2. Then we add some water to the mixture for making smooth batter. Keep in mind that the batter should not be very thick or very thin. It should be smooth.

3.After that we need to add the chopped onion, tomato, coriander leaves and green chilli in it. If you are making this dish for children then you can skip the step of green chilli. After putting all the ingredients together in the bowl, we have to mixed all the ingredients well.

4. I am adding one more ingredient in the bowl, i.e. chaat masala for giving more chatpatta taste. Now keep the batter for 15-20 minutes in good place.

5. After 20 minutes, In a non stick tava, keeping medium flame, we spread some vegetable oil on it. After 10 seconds,turn the flame full and put the batter on tava and spread some oil on the edges. After keeping the Chilla for 1-2 minutes, turn it to another side, then cooked it until it fully cooked.


Now you can serve this Besan ka Chilla with some green chutney or with tomato sauce. It tastes delicious.
